Fidwise Terms of Use
These are the rules for using Fidwise. By signing in you agree to them. They are written in plain English on purpose.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Post something objectionable, or treat another person abusively, and the content is removed and your account can be removed with it. We do not have to warn you first, and we do not have to give you a second chance.
Who can use Fidwise
You must be at least thirteen years old. You are responsible for everything done through your account, so keep your Google or Apple sign in to yourself.
What Fidwise is
Fidwise is a financial news and discussion app. It publishes short factual summaries of published news and lets people discuss them.
Nothing in Fidwise is investment advice. Nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or sell anything. Other people using Fidwise are not your advisers, whatever they claim. Any decision you make with your own money is yours alone.
The rules for what you post
Everything you write in Fidwise, including comments, replies, posts and your profile, is yours and is your responsibility. The following are not allowed anywhere in Fidwise:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, stalking or intimidation of any person.
- Hate speech, or attacks on people for their religion, caste, region, language, sex, gender, sexuality, disability or any similar characteristic.
- Sexual content, sexually explicit material, and anything sexualising a child.
- Violence, incitement to violence, and glorifying harm to people or animals.
- Content that encourages self harm or suicide.
- Illegal content, and content promoting illegal activity.
- Market manipulation: pump and dump schemes, coordinated ramping of a stock, fake tips presented as inside information, and anything designed to move a price by deceiving people.
- Scams, fraud, phishing, deceptive money making offers, and unsolicited promotion.
- Impersonating another person, a company, a regulator, or a Fidwise employee.
- Knowingly false information about markets, companies, regulators or public events.
- Publishing another person's private information without their permission.
- Anyone else's copyrighted work presented as your own.
- Automated posting, scraping, or any attempt to break, overload or work around the app's security.
What happens when someone breaks these rules
We can remove any content and end any account, at any time, without notice, when we judge that these rules have been broken. Serious cases are reported to the police or the relevant regulator.
Every report and every block raises a moderation signal that our team can see, and we act on them promptly. You can also write to contact@fidwise.com about anything you have seen.
Reporting and blocking
Press and hold any story or any comment to report it. Choose a reason, and the report reaches our moderation team.
The same menu lets you block the person who wrote it. Blocking hides everything they write from you straight away, everywhere in the app. It also tells our moderation team about the content you blocked them over, so we can look at it. You can undo a block at any time from Blocked people on your profile.
Your content and ours
What you write stays yours. By posting it in Fidwise you allow us to show it, store it and share it inside the app, so that the discussion works. You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time.
News summaries in Fidwise are drawn from published sources, and every story names its source and links to the original. The Fidwise name, the app and its design are ours.
Ending your account
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: open your profile and choose Delete Account. That removes your profile, your comments, your reactions, your follows and your posts. We can end an account that breaks these rules, as described above.
What we do not promise
Fidwise is provided as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, always be correct, or always be free of faults. News is summarised from other people's reporting and can be wrong or out of date. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, including money lost on an investment, arising from your use of Fidwise.
Privacy
What we collect and why is set out in the Fidwise Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, the date at the top changes with them, and we will ask you to agree again where the change is material.
Law
These terms are an agreement between you and FIDWISE PRIVATE LIMITED, a company registered in India (CIN U63120UW2026PTC260072). They are governed by Indian law.
